Subject:  Please Cosponsor Budget Amendments 566 & 465/ LGBTQ+ Aging Initiatives in MADear Senator _______:
I am writing to you as a constituent and concerned member/ally of the LGBTQ+ community, respectfully asking you to add your name to two amendments to the Senate budget for FY 2026, Amendment #566 and Amendment #465. They have been filed to ensure the continued funding support for critical initiatives on LGBTQ+ aging in Massachusetts.

Amendment #566: supports the LGBTQIA+ Aging Project’s delivery of LGBTQ+ cultural competency training and technical assistance for service providers along with outreach and engagement of LGBTQ+ older adults and their caregivers.
Amendment #465 ensures the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Aging is staffed adequately to enact its 2025 strategic plan to enhance the lives of LGBTQ older adults in Massachusetts.

Both amendments support LGBTQ+ older adults, a marginalized and vulnerable population,  to receive the care, connection, and community they deserve.

Again, I respectfully ask that you co-sponsor Amendments #566 and #465 to support the work and efforts of the LGBTQIA+ Aging Project and the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Aging to create a more equitable Massachusetts.
Many thanks for your consideration,
