Learn more about our walk-in Reproductive Health clinic!
Our walk-in clinic is here to support your reproductive health needs in a way that fits your life.
Fenway Health offers contraception counseling for patients who are considering birth control or exploring new methods of contraception. We can help answer your questions so you can get the contraception that is right for you.
During your visit, you will meet with one of our medical providers to discuss your contraceptive needs. They will educate you on your birth control options and answer any questions you have. Our goal is to provide you with the knowledge to make decisions about which method is right for you. If you desire to leave with a new birth control method or prescription, our providers will work hard to make that happen!
Options for contraception include:
- Emergency Contraception (Plan B, Ella)
- Contraceptive Implant (Nexplanon)
- Contraceptive Patch
- Contraceptive Pills
- Contraceptive Ring (NuvaRing)
- Contraceptive Shot (Depo-Provera)
- IUD (Mirena, Kyleena, Paragard)
- Diaphragm (including Caya)
- Natural Family Planning
- Internal/External Condoms
If you choose a method that requires a prescription, it can be written that day. If you choose a method that requires an insertion procedure, we may be able to accommodate that day or we may schedule an additional appointment.
Contraception and contraception counseling are typically covered under most health insurance. We offer free or reduced-cost contraception for patients who qualify. Make an appointment by calling 617.927.6000.
Need Confidential Services?
In Massachusetts, the Patch Act protects your right to confidential health care. Even if you are on someone else’s health insurance, you can submit a request to your health insurance plan that some services, including birth control, remain confidential.
