Using Evidence-Informed Interventions to Improve Health Outcomes among People Living with HIV (E2i) Coordinating Center for Technical Assistance
The Division of Education and Training in The Fenway Institute (TFI), in partnership with AIDS United (AU), served as the Coordinating Center for Technical Assistance (CCTA) for the Health Resources and Services Administration HIV/AIDS Bureau (HRSA HAB) Special Projects of National Significance Program: Using Evidence-Informed Interventions to Improve Health Outcomes among People Living with HIV (E2i). The E2i initiative was a four-year project (2017-2021) to facilitate the rapid implementation and evaluation of eleven evidence-informed interventions.
The purpose of the E2i CCTA was to identify evidence-informed interventions, support rapid implementation of the interventions at 26 subawarded Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP)-funded sites, provide technical assistance (TA) to support implementation at the sites, and develop accessible dissemination products to promote the replication and scale-up of the interventions in HIV service organizations nationally.
The CCTA worked in close collaboration with the University of California, San Francisco to evaluate the clinical and implementation outcomes of the implemented interventions.
Dissemination Resources
The E2i CCTA created comprehensive intervention toolkits comprised of implementation guides, videos, learning modules, and client outreach materials to support replication across the RWHAP and other HIV service organizations. These dissemination materials will become available again on the new RWHAP training and resources website, set to be released in 2026.
